Faculty Induction Program on Awarness on CyberSecurity:

A Faculty Induction Program on Awareness on Cybersecurity was organized on 29th October 2022 at the School of Computing, Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER), Chennai. The event aimed to sensitize the faculty members on the latest trends in cybersecurity and the importance of safeguarding the digital assets of the institution.

Dr.S.Neduncheliyan, Professor & Dean of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BIHER, delivered the keynote address. He highlighted the various cyber threats faced by educational institutions and the measures that can be taken to prevent them.

The resource person for the event was Mr. Haja Mohideen, who is an expert in cybersecurity. He gave a detailed presentation on the current trends in cybersecurity and demonstrated the various tools and techniques used by hackers to gain unauthorized access to systems. He also discussed the importance of creating strong passwords and the need for regular data backup to prevent data loss.

Artificial Intelligence Club, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Computing organizes Internal coding hackathon on 01/11/2022. 122 students were participated in the coding hackathon event and students has been provided with e- participation certificate and winners are awarded with trophies.

The inauguration of welcome address by Dr. S. Maruthuperumal, Professor & Head Dept of CSE, BIHER, followed by Presidential address by Dr.S.Neduncheliyan, Professor and Dean of CSE. The inaugural address by Dr. T. Sambath, senior manager, Buisness Finance,GFM private limited for which will enable the students to acquire knowledge to work with power BI. Vote of thanks by Mrs.S.Salini, Assistant Professor/Dept of CSE, BIHER.

OOPs Concepts and its Real Time Applications:

The School of Computing at Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research organized a seminar on " OOPs Concepts and its Real Time Applications " on December 2/22. The seminar was held in the School of Computing, and Mr. Prabhu (M.Tech) Senior Automation Engineer was the resource person.

Following Dr. S. Neduncheliyan, Professor & Dean of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering speech, Dr.Thirupurasundari DR, Associate Professor M.Revathi, Assistant Professor / CSE addressed the participants. He discussed the importance of seminars and workshops in promoting industry academia collaborations and encouraging research and development.

The seminar on "OOPs Concepts and its Real-Time Applications" aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical applications in real-world scenarios.

National Workshop on Cyber Security and Cyber Attacks:

The School of Computing at Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research organized a National Workshop on Cyber Security and Cyber Attacks from December 8 to December 9, 2022. The workshop was held in the School of Computing, and Mr. SAI SATHISH, Founder & CEO of Indian Servers, Administrator of AndhraHackers, was the resource person.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. J.HAMEED HUSSAIN, Dean of Engineering BIHER And Dr. S. Maruthuperumal, Professor & Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BIHER. He highlighted the importance of cybersecurity in today's world and how it is essential to take necessary measures to safeguard personal and organizational data from cyber threats.

Mr. Sai Sathish's speech was informative, engaging, and insightful. He discussed various cyber attacks and how they can impact individuals and organizations. He also provided valuable information on how to protect against cyber attacks, including measures such as firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.

The workshop was well-attended, with participants from various academic institutions and industry professionals. The interactive session that followed Mr. SAI SATHISH's talk provided a platform for the participants to ask questions and share their experiences.

The School of Computing at Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research organised a two-day workshop on Python: Hands-on Practice and Learning in AI from December 20 to December 21, 2022. The workshop was held in the School of Computing, and Mr. Aditthya, Director of Genesis Innovation Lab and Founder of Next Tech Lab, was the resource person.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. S. Maruthuperumal, Professor & Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BIHER. He emphasized the importance of Python in the field of AI and how it is essential to learn Python to stay ahead of the curve in today's competitive job market.

Following Dr. S. Maruthuperumal's speech, Dr. S. Neduncheliyan, Professor & Dean of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, addressed the participants.He stressed the significance of hands-on training in the field of AI and how it is vital for the participants to practice what they learn.

Mr. Aditthya's speech was informative, engaging, and insightful. He discussed various aspects of Python, including data structures, loops, functions, and classes. He also provided valuable information on how Python is used in AI applications, such as machine learning and deep learning.

Awareness program on Noetic Science

The Seminar on “Awareness program on Noetic Science” is planned to be organized by the Department of Computer Science Engineering, School of Computing on 20.02.2023. This Program is conducted at Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research, Chennai. 75 faculty members from Computer Science Department attended the program to get awareness of Noetic Science and they shared the ideology of this program with their students.

The attended faculty members interacted with Mr. Srinivasan and they collected information that hoe can they create awareness among students towards Noetic Drugs

MoU Linking and Center of Excellence

The Seminar on “MoU Linking and Center of Excellence” is planned to be organized by the Department of Computer Science Engineering, School of Computing on 24.02.2023. This Program is conducted at Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research, Chennai. 70 faculty members from Computer Science Department attended the program and worked on Process Mining which helps to visualize and analyze the data.

The attended faculty members interacted with resource person and they learnt how specialized software algorithms are used to analyze event logs and extract knowledge about business processes.

The Conference on “National Conference on Recent Trends in Emerging Techniques” organized by the Department of Computer Science Engineering, School of Computing from 02-03-2023 to 03-03-2023. Many students and faculties submitted their ideas and projects on the NCRTET 2023.

The students and Faculty members work together with Dr. C Lakshmi mam & Dr. V Cyril Raj sir and learnt about the latest developments in various fields, and gain insights into emerging technologies and techniques that are shaping the future.

Kavach 2023 Internal Cybersecurity Hackathon

The School of Computing, Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER), conducted an Internal Cybersecurity Hackathon named KAVACH 2023 on 27th April 2023. The event was held at the School of Computing, BIHER.

The hackathon aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their cybersecurity skills and knowledge, along with fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness among them. The event witnessed the participation of students from various departments, all enthusiastic to take on the challenge.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. J.HAMEED HUSSAIN, Dean of Engineering at BIHER, followed by Dr. S. Neduncheliyan, Professor & Dean of the CSE department And Dr. S. Maruthuperumal, Professor & Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), BIHER

KAVACH 2023 INTERNAL CYBERSECURITY HACKATHON was a great success. The event provided a platform for the students to showcase their skills and learn from the experts in the field. It also helped to raise awareness about cybersecurity and its importance in today's world. The participants left the event with a greater appreciation for cybersecurity and a renewed passion to pursue careers in this field.
